ALL CONFERENCE SELECTION

North St. Paul “Polars”
Richfield “Spartans”
St. Thomas “Cadets”
Simley“Spartans”
South St. Paul “Packers”
Tartan “Titans"

The Classic Suburban Conference selects an All Conference Team at the end of the season.  This team will have 29 swimmers and a minimum of 3 divers.  The top 32 swimmers and divers (as determined by the most recent National Power Point chart) will be awarded All-Conference.

Swimmers- The best time that a swimmer gets in a conference meet or in the Section meet is checked on the Power Point chart.  The top 29 power points are All-Conference.  If a time is between two listed times the slower time is used to determine the power point.  If two or more swimmers are tied for the final All-Conference award, the times are calculated to see which is closest to the next power point.

Divers- The top 3 divers are determined by the following:
            1.      Dual meet record by place
            2.      Head to head competition
            3.      Average of top 3 conference scores
            4.      The diver is not one of the top 3 divers and the average of his top 3 conference scores or section score has a high enough Power Point to place him in the top 29 on the conference Power Point chart.

*Note:  Only times and scores in conference and section meets are used to qualify for All-Conference.  Times and scores in non-conference and State meets are not eligible for consideration.  The Classic Suburban Conference web site is www.classicsuburbanconference.org

ALL STATE SELECTION

The top 8 places in each event (both swimming & diving) at State finals are awarded All-State. The next 8 places (9-16) are awarded All-State Honorable mention.  The All State athletes are invited to go to the All State banquet usually held in mid April.  Information about the all State banquet will be posted on the MSHSCA website  www.mshsca.org/swimming/
